Going Unplugged… Why?

February 25th, 2010 by Kary Rogney

Hey Friends! I really appreciate you taking the time to come by and listen to me share about why I’m going “Unplugged” and about some of the personal struggles that I’ve been facing. Maybe you have these similar issues with time, family, and the challenge of building a business online…

Sit back and listen as I discuss with you some new ideas that I’m working on to bring a better balance to my life.

If you resonate with this and have some ideas or encouraging words to share, I’d love to hear from you down below. And if you think the people over on Twitter would benefit, a ReTweet is always appreciated, too.

Many Blessings,
Kary

The Presidents Song By 7 Year Old Abrahm Rogney

February 14th, 2010 by Kary Rogney

Well, it’s Valentines & Presidents’ Day weekend. Hope you have the day off to spend relaxing and hanging with friends and family.

My little man Abrahm (age 7) absolutely loves history, so he decided to memorize and share the presidents song that he learned recently. Enjoy!

Abrahm would love to hear from you in the comments, and please Retweet this out to put a smile on someone’s face today on Twitter!

All the best,
Kary (& Abrahm)

PS My wish for you is that this short video brightens your day in honor of our great country and the many great leaders that have served us in history…

WordPress Thread Comment… (New Hot Plugin Of The Month)

February 6th, 2010 by Kary Rogney

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Are in order for my friend Melissa Wright, a member of my Tribe community.

I’ve been looking for the answer to this challenge for months!

For a while I was running the Disqus comment system on my blog, but it wouldn’t allow for my Comment Luv plugin to work. For those of you that don’t know, Comment Luv puts the link to the latest blog post of a commenter under their comment. It’s a great way to say ‘thanks’ and allow for the backlink back to their blog.

What I loved about Disqus was the ability to nest my responses to comments right under the commenter’s comment. Well, I got rid of Disqus and brought back Comment Luv. The bummer with that was when I wanted to comment back it put my comments at the bottom of all the other comments and didn’t nest it with the matching comment.

If this isn’t making sense, I’ll show you in the video in a minute…

The reason that this is such a big deal is that you want to create an interactive blog, full of conversations and exchanges of ideas. That’s what gives a ‘social media’ blog its STICKINESS and keeps people there longer and enthusiastic to return!

So, if you have a blog, the solution is now here to be able to use Comment Luv and WordPress Thread Comment together for a powerful combination.

Watch here as I walk through how I’m using them together and configuring them.
