		<description>Hey Garth!

I have found some of my best partners in business this way...
Joint ventures, very successful business mentors, and so
much more. Too bad more people haven&#039;t figured it out!

All the best,
Kary</description>

		<description>Hi Kary,
Great tips. The people who I have really connected with on FB followed these practices. It does make such a huge difference. Thank you for this post!

<description>Thanks for the reminder - that I have at least 50 Facebook friend requests (without a message) from people I do not know still waiting for a note from me (similar to yours).

In the past, when I&#039;ve asked (about someone&#039;s request), I&#039;ve found that a surprising number of people either do not remember making the request at all (let alone why) or never write back. Some have said that they were simply responding to a Facebook &quot;recommendation&quot; or person they might (want to?) know prompt. Others replied that their phone or whatever other device they were using to connect to Facebook at the time did not allow them the option of sending a note. And a few admitted that their request was done automatically by some kind of list building software.

The most common reasons people have given for sending me a friend request (without a note) is that they liked a comment I posted somewhere or noticed that we have (a lot of) &quot;friends&quot; in common - and assume I somehow know this.

I&#039;m curious what kind of responses YOU and others receive after sending a note to those who did not send one first - and their (level of) contact (if any) after adding them.

		<description>Kary-

Thanks for sharing! It is so critical to develop relationships, not just have huge numbers of friends or followers.

I also share a video thank you upon friendship confirmation! Great stuff!

<description>I totally agree Kary! Good post on adding friends on FB. It&#039;s a good way to stick out from the crowd. It may take a little longer than just clicking but I think it&#039;s well worth the time to actually maybe start building a relationship.

		<description>Hi Kary,

First time here and love the blog. You must have read my mind as I am working on a post about friend requests and the lack of people who do not add a message when they want to be friends. It takes a few seconds but can make a huge difference.
