Blogging For Beginners: Is there a best way to organize the content on my blog?

 by Kary Rogney

For organizational purposes it’s also necessary for you to create specific categories and subcategories on your blog. Figure out what most of your posts will be about. Choose 3-4 broad categories like Social Media, Wellness, and Internet Marketing for example.

Subcategories for Social Media could be Facebook, Twitter, & Youtube. Under Wellness could be Whole Foods, Exercise, Supplements, Spiritual, Mindset, etc… And under Internet Marketing could be Pay-Per-Click, Article Marketing, Social Bookmarking, Search Engine Optimization, Forum Marketing, etc…

This helps you to stay more organized and helps your readers find topics of interest.

This is exactly what people need.

Hey Kary, great video on organizing by categories! It is always a good idea to organize your content in such a way that it makes it easy for your readers to find.

Another useful tip in line with your video is if you use a wordpress theme such as Thesis or Headway, you can even optimize the category pages with search engine friendly page titles and descriptions. This can also be done with tags as well. This mean your category pages and tag pages can be indexed and served up in more relevant search results!

Keep up the fantastic work Kary!
