Now let me come out right up front and say, “Yes, there absolutely are leaders online. They might not be as obvious to find as we think though.”
The challenge is to find them, tap into their greatness, learn from then directly, and then create something lasting and significant for yourself within whatever industry or niche you’re in.
Who are they? What characteristics do they possess? Where can you find one to learn from and get mentoring from? How do you not get led astray by marketing hype and tactics and miss out on the long lasting, truly effective mentors that aren’t so flashy or noticeable online? Is this even possible?
I believe it is possible, but you may have to search carefully to find a leader like that…

First, I wanted to thank everyone who submitted information on my survey request over the last 3 weeks. (Click here to see that initial post.) Unfortunately I wasn’t too surprised to see the list of challenges that many people are facing as they try to launch income-generating ventures online.
I put out that post to solicit some data and to hear from the field as to what is challenging people the most to make money online. I’m going to share the results with you today and give you some recommendations based on what I’ve learned, witnessed, and created myself as an online marketer.
The following list is ranked from the most shared challenges to the least… I’ve linked out to some posts that I feel may help with some of these issues.
As many of you may know, I came online last year and launched my blog last August, eight months ago. In that time, me, a completely clueless elementary school teacher, went from 0 to 40,578+ page views on my blog, became the top enroller for my network marketing company in my second month (now leading the social media training for that entire company), and had top industry entrepreneurs calling me to lead webinars and coach their top tier coaching clients… all in less than eight months!
But why? And who is it that helped me?
Remember, it’s all about taking action, acquiring the right knowledge and skills, having a healthy mindset and attitude, and surrounding yourself with an incredible mastermind team. The way that this all fell into place for me was by investing in myself, by growing a human being, and by hiring Jonathan Budd and Katie Freiling to teach me exactly what they had done to create their massive success online.
It would take me days and days to reteach what I have learned in regards to the challenges people are facing in the above list. But fortunately I don’t have to… I know someone that can put the pieces into place for you right now, with proven results.

Whether it’s one word or several there is a lot of POWER within words written or spoken.
Just last night I had several words ‘Pop’ into my head while I was staring at my Facebook status update box.
So, you wanna know what I decided to do? I just typed those words into the box. That’s it. That’s all I did. And right now I don’t remember what they were exactly. That doesn’t matter right at this moment though…
You may be thinking… “What’s the big deal, Kary? So what…”
Well, what I’m wanting to share with you today is a personal and simple way to express yourself with one or even just a few words.
For example, if I were write… love, friendship, caring, happiness, joy… I begin to feel them, visualize them, and attract them into my life. What became fun was that others began adding their words to the comment thread. and soon the group began taking on the momentum and energy that was flowing from everyone’s words.
I believe one person was saying that we were creating ‘synergy’ together in this exercise. I felt a rush of excitement and community while doing this together. In fact, I found my self waiting anxiously for what other people where going to submit to the thread.
It got me thinking about why I like the concept of Tribes Online so much. By working together and leveraging the ideas, uniqueness, and strengths of each other we combine and create something exponentially greater than the sum of each individually.
Synergy!
All I know is that by sharing a few positive, meaningful, and powerful words with the world, I began to receive much more as our group gained a momentum and yes, ‘Synergy’ together…

Mmmmm… I love the smell of fresh cut grass and my Daphne bush in bloom. Spring is definitely in the air today and my family and I just got back from the park and the garden center.
We’re heading out into the back yard now to spend some ‘outside’ time together. We have a great little space to hang out, garden, and whatever…
Over the last few weeks I’ve been recalibrating my time and attention with my family and taking at least one “unplugged” day in the week… a day not to do business or get online… a day of rest… a “family fun day!” I’ve decided to move it from Friday to Sunday and rearrange my webinars and tribe calls to other days, too.
Listen and watch as I share my plans and what I’ve learned while out in my back yard this afternoon.
This is my first followup message to last week’s video on how I’m choosing to be offline on Fridays to focus on my family and other priorities. I received so many inspiring and encouraging comments and messages last week. Keep me informed on your progress to take one day off and fully escape from your computer… (I’m taking my lunch time at work to upload this vid real quick… shhhhh)
