“Take 5 With The Tribe” Face To Face With Faith Barnard…

 by Kary Rogney

Have you had the fantastic opportunity to come “Face To Face” with people that you’ve met online that live out or your region or country? I’ve had several occasions this year where I’ve been able to spend some REAL QUALITY TIME connecting offline in San Diego, Las Vegas, and now MY BACK YARD! I love what has been evolving within my virtual world of online relationships.

Yes, I speak to many new found friends on Skype (karyrogney) and get on the phone on a regular basis. When people say that you don’t need to do that kind of stuff anymore, I SURE DON’T AGREE! All of my joint venture partners and business relationships have grown and blossomed by ‘speaking’ and ‘connecting’ at this personal, more intimate level…

Today, Faith Barnard gave me a call, happened to be in southern Oregon and we had a fabulous two hour visit. This never would have happened if she wouldn’t have given me a call several weeks ago. From there our friendship has grown and we’re now partnering on several ventures and LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT! And she’s a new and valuable member of our Tribe Mastermind Community, too!

Thanks for sharing about your similar experiences with creating lasting friendships online in the comments section below… And sharing this post with your Twitter and Facebook friends is always appreciated!

PS I remember when I got started on Facebook. I started contacting and friending all the people in my local area that were ‘open and interested’ in Networking… Try it. I got Face to Face with many people locally.

I Love it! For me (communication guru) there is nothing better than meeting face 2 face & connecting with all communication skills. Online socializing is a means of meeting & developing relationships, and then when we actually get together in person it is the icing on the cake. Thanks, both of you, it’s so great to see, hear, and feel the excitement you shared.

    Hi Kary,
Thanks for sharing your talk with Faith in your backyard! How cool is that!! It is always great to meet people with whom you have been communicating, by phone or Online, in person. It adds quite a bit to the relationship.

It is so cool that you two shared this important point and the truth about online connecting. Life is all about relationships and connections and there are quit a few that do not understand the real value of bringing the community into a circle of real friendship and collaborating support and new friends out there.

I caught up with a online friend in Texas just this past weekend… Wonderful new ventures ahead!

    Hi Kary!

This is so terrific to see you and Faith together in YOUR BACKYARD!!!! Amazing! I have met you a few times in person and it has been fantastic! I have met a number of my online friends and have never been disappointed. in fact, it has inspired me to host an Event designed just for people to meet face to face!

Tribing has changed my life and expanded my life view.

Can’t wait to meet you Faith!

Hi Kary! I have met someone local that I first met through an online course. It was great to meet someone who understood me and what I was trying to do with business. People must network or mastermind in order to build or grow a business. No matter what type of business you have, you have to learn to work with people.

    Thanks for a great article.

    Kary,

Thanks for the brief video. In terms of my own “takeaways,” I could include…

    * The challenge to continue what may be termed “the developing of You” by seeing the opportunities that are there and seeing how you can capitalize on your own growth as a person.

    * The concepts of collaboration, cooperation and “tribing.”

    * The ongoing challenge to keep exploring ways to communicate personally with others like you continually demonstrate (and, of course, which is pictured in this video).

    * The challenge to continually promote and reflect the joy of collaborating in the right ways with others who share similar goals, challenges and opportunities.

    Thanks again,

    Lee

Love it Kary! I had just got off the phone with you, so when I started reading Faith’s blog and saw the video – I thought how apropos! You have some beautifully singing birds in your backyard! I met a girl, Nikki on facebook. Looking at her pics, reminded me of me. I was asked to participate in the Oscar Gifting Suites, to give celebs some of the documentaries our company produced, and I thought it would be fun to share a table. I called Nikki, whom is a photographer, and she was thrilled to be able to join! We met at the event, and shared a table for the weekend. As it turned out, her beautiful photos really pulled people in to our table!! (smart ME! lol)
I have a feeling, our online connection, will soon be offline too! Best, Lisa

    Kary!
Awesome video! I love reading and watching the things that you share on your blog. I wish I could catch one of your webinars but seems I always have a meeting when they are scheduled! Soon…I hope! I am still hopeful that I will get my online branding in place some day sooner than later! Life just keeps getting in the way, one day I am going to just have to stop saying that and DO IT!
    BTW-
My husband and I met in a online chat room :-) We started chatting in 1998 and met for the first time in Dec 1999! We married in March 2000! 10 years later and we are still happily married!
    Have a great day!
