What a great idea! We need to remember our "why's" and our families are an integral part of why we work so hard in network marketing. Thanks for sharing this Kary!

Hey Kary ~

I love that you're going to be keeping us in the loop of your progress of going unplugged. I can really relate to what you shared about being present in the moment with your family ~ I find that my mind is always spinning with thoughts, ideas, to-do's etc. ~ it is a balancing act that I think gets easier with consistency. So I'm really looking forward to more stories!

Also, thanks for sharing your classroom ~ you guys must have so much fun! So when does the tribe visit 1st grade? :)

Hi Kary,

Wow! Thanks for keeping us posted on how your family Friday went. Until recently, I worked non-stop, but then it so happened that I realized that the results are more prosperous when free time is honored. We create everything from the inside out and the truth is that we achieve more by focusing rather than working long and hard. Work smart not hard is a very wise statement. All the universal laws of nature are based on it. Nature always works smart, never hard. And nature is the best example for us all. It is a proven fact that one can achieve more in one hour of focused thought than in a month's worth of hard physical work. So I personally got 'unplugged' on the weekend. And amazingly enough, there was not much to catch up because most people are taking the weekends off. When I started this, I didn't even plan it - just so it happened, I got carried away doing creative things that I love and afterwards I realized that I never turned my computer on during the weekend. It felt very liberating. And I accomplished more. So I have been using the universal laws of nature to create more instead of being online all the time. There are many distractions online now, so we can literally spend all our time there without realizing where it went. The longer we stay in front of a computer, the more we decrease our productivity. I am grateful that you bring this topic to us all. Great food for thought!
Namaste,
Venus :)

I'm glad you are setting aside this time Kary. Family, friends and lifestyle is the primary reason why we work so hard. When you have a 1000 different things that have worked for you, or you know WILL work for you, it's hard to shut that off. It's almost an addiction...

We have to remember WHY we are doing this. The computer will still be there 24 hours from now...Great inspiration for us all Kary...thx

Kary, Great post! Stepping away from the computer to spend time with your loved ones is super important. It's something everyone in this industry needs to do! Thanks for the reminder!
