Flood Light vs. Laser Focused On Facebook

 by Kary Rogney

laser_beam_led_b_550The other day I was on Facebook, and I was watching the slow stream of messages roll by on my Home page… some by family, some by college and high school friends, others by co-workers, clients, and so on and so on…

This all got me wondering how in the world am I supposed to keep up with all of these people on Facebook when I want to?

Yes, I can type someone’s name and go to their profile page. But who has time to do that except with a few people? I want to look over a variety of groups of people that fit certain categories and filter the rest out! In other words I want my cake and eat it too!

So this is what I learned, and I think you’ll love this filtering feature as much as I do. It’s called the News Feed.

In this video I show you step by step how to create groups of people, where by a click of your mouse you can quickly see what is happening with your ‘peeps’ you want to keep an eye on. I also mention some ideas of News Feed groups you may want to set up… that you may not have thought about.

I always appreciate your comments and Diggs. And let me know if there are questions you have about your favorite social media sites!

Until next time… enjoy your ability to keep laser focused and more organized with your Facebook experience!

Great article Kary as usual. How we manage our social media communication is key to being able to monetize with social media or learn from other leaders in the industry.

Great post Kary! So many people are on Facebook but don't know how to use it to properly market their business! There are so many ways to market and you are doing a great job with getting the word out!

    Kary,

Great post about keeping the focus though Facebook's news feed. It's amazing how freeing this is on the brain. You can keep focused on your tribe or business partners then switch feeds and focus on your family or friends.

    Thanks for the great tip!
