Why Do I Have These Thoughts?
For years and years I’ve wrestled with “My Mind” in regards to my own personal fitness and exercise. It’s only been recently where I’ve taken more control and overcome that stumbling block in my life. I’m focused and driven to move forward with my new wellness and total life transformation.
This Is Nothing Short Of A Miracle For Me…
Now I’ve never been over weight or totally inactive, but I’ve definitely been thin and not very strong during my life. That’s not saying that I’m not tough… I did work 10 summers in the fishing industry in Alaska… but I have definitely avoided lifting weights and running like “The Plague”! I’d always chosen to get my exercise playing basketball or beach volleyball, etc…
Well, something new has crossed my path and given me a new excitement for many reasons. It’s called the NextFit Key Chain Trainer.
I Have A Choice To Make…
First of all, I’ve come to realize that I’m not getting any younger, and I have accepted that I have an extremely busy schedule, so taking time to go to the gym has not been a priority. Besides, we all know that going to the gym can take and hour or two out of your schedule, costs extra money, and has even gone unused during past memberships, too. And I definitely have not chosen to schedule that in to my routine… at least not yet.
And What Is My Health Worth?
It’s just that most Americans are so stinking cheap and lazy and in very poor health… And that needs to change!
I don’t want to die of a heart attack or get diabetes or whatever!! Neither does anyone else I’m sure. You know, it all comes down to making a decision. It’s all about your mind and starting from there. That’s it.
It’s So Simple, Yet Eludes So Many People…
Have you ever had a personal trainer to set up your own fitness plan? I sure haven’t. I know when I have had gym memberships I sure could have used one, but never seemed to work it into my budget or schedule. We all know that having a personal trainer is the most effective way to truly get the results you want for your fitness outcomes. It really has become an elitist commodity, much like health and wellness has become in our country, too.
Why Are We Flabby And Malnourished?
And we live in the richest (in debt) nation ever to be established on earth! It’s because we chose to be that way. We chose to live crazy busy lives, work two jobs, eat convenience foods, and sit in front of the TV and computer. Listen, it’s plain and simple. More calories going into your body than are burned = an expanding waste line and = more health related issues.
Well, NextFit has answered my needs with an Intuitive Technology that puts 40 of the world’s top personal trainers in the palm of my hand… any time and any where I am, traveling or at home, they mix up the music from over 150 selections and talk me through the reps and directions in each customized session… even calling me by name! (And it’s no weird computer voice either.)
This intuitive, artificial intelligence adjusts and customizes my workout based on my age, weight and height profile, my personal goals, and based on the available equipment I have access to… And so much more!
Listen to Tony Robbins, master speaker and entrepreneur share his insights to this new technology innovation.
Make sure and check out all THREE PARTS of this VIDEO SERIES as I demo and explain my experience with the NextFit Key Chain Trainer.
If you’ve found this to be a fair and insightful post, then I thank you now for any Tweets or comments. They’re always appreciated!

26 Comments and Pings on How To Overcome The Mind… And Receive Your New Body… *NextFit Review
This is really cool… I'll have to check this one out. Always looking for ways to change up my routine to keep it interesting.
Right now, I do P90X. Very challenging and varied so I don' get bored.
Thanks for sharing this.
I know some people that were doing P90X and have shifted over to this more customized, personal training device. Thanks for coming by and sharing…
This is GREAT Kary! I am always open to learning new things
when it comes to fitness. Thank you so much for this post.
Thanks for the massive value you bring.
*Cheers*
Hey Kary…I have been a personal trainer and coach for years…the thing I have found is that there are a couple of keys to people actually being able to get fit…a) they need to find a place where they can be self-motivated…sometimes the self-motivation actually has an outside source of constant encouragement and b) it needs to be simple and fun.
This program seems to fulfill these things for you and hopefully for many others. I am very happy to hear about it and will take a closer look as well.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Hey Bruce, Wow, I didn't know you were a coach and trainer! Very cool! I'm having fun and the interest has been outstanding. Keep in touch. Let me know if you have any Q's. Blessings my friend, Kary
Hi Therese! You are so kind and I love your positive energy. I was so bummed that I missed your call the other night. Look forward to chatting soon. Blessings.
Hi Kary, this is an awesome post. It is so true. I learned from Tony Robbins this: many people don't work out because they feel it is a waste of time. I mean, we are so busy trying to make money and other things that working out is taking time from that. Bottom line our fitness level becomes the last thing in our list. That's something we should change, and everybody starts with our focus and the way we see things. Is taking care of ourselves really a waste of time?????
Thanks, Carina
This is really cool looking Kary. I exercise fairly regularly but my workouts are always the same… boring… This looks like a really cool fun tool to shake things up a bit. I look forward to checking it out! Thanks for exposing me to the new toy!
You know Matty, I thought this little Key Chain Trainer was going to be all 'Sweet' and 'Fun'… It is giving me a serious whoopin'! AND I FEEL GREAT! Weird huh? Let me know what I can do for you bro…
Kary. This thing looks so unique and will fill such an important part of our lives. I am pretty good at working out and exercising quite frequently… but it’s always the same old routine at the gym. This product seems like a great way to break up the complacency of a boring exercise routine. Look forward to checking it out.
Kary,
I spent years working out to play ball at Dartmouth and then to keep it together while working crazy hours. Thought that was tough, but being a dad totally killed my workout continuity. Now I am thinking, is this something my teens can do too? Why not get them off the couch more and into the right lifestyle early? I could see this being a family affair, letting us each focus on our own plans, but keep fit together.
Thanks for the info!
Cheers.
Chip
Hi Chip! I love your ideas and enthusiasm to engage your kids and family in healthy activities! I look forward to learning more about you and partnering on ventures in the future!
I am having so much fun with this NextFit Key Chain Trainer and getting active again. Of course investing in our own health is not always easy, but always worth it! Thanks Carina! Keep in touch, too!
All my friends used to do P90X, they've all dropped it for NextFit. A lot of them love P90X and met NextFit with A TON of skepticism. I told them to just give NextFit a try, no obligations. No one has regretted leaving P90. The program is so dynamic and built specifically for the user, it's crazy not to try it. Not to mention I'm getting paid to workout? That's awesome.
I tried P90X, but I just can't sit in front of a TV and do a workout. It just didn't appeal to me. I tried it, but never got anywhere. I tried to get back in shape on my own as well, but nada.
So when my crazy celebrity buddy told me about NextFit, I was like… well that sounds cool, but I dunno. But I'm a geek and love tech, so I went down to check it out. I met with all the execs, took home 1 trainer to try out. I downloaded 1 or 2 workouts and couldn't believe it. I went back the next week and bought 60 trainers.
I used to go to the gym everyday, but never got to the level of performance I'm at after about 21 weeks on NextFit. I'm working out about 3 times a week and about half the time I was spending at the gym. The problem I had was that I was not working out properly. I read all the material I could get, but nothing worked until I had someone telling me exactly what to do based on my body type and what my goals are. Then it was like a lightning bolt. Along with balancing my diet, I started working out the right way.
I started working out on Dori's program. (Dori's a good friend of mine.) It was just running some intervals. At first it was challenging. Then it started getting easier for me. After logging this into my training system at NextFit, the workout started to get a little more intense. and more and more.. Now I look back since the day I started and I'm running like a fricken' Gazelle. I have never had so much strength, endurance or speed. It really hit me the other day when I was running laps up and downhill at the school parking lot. (It's a huge parking lot.. the track was locked up.) I was blazing, it was like I was flying. I couldn't believe how much I had improved.
A good friend of mine runs in the Olympics and competes at a world class level. I've been working with her husband on establishing a running/training camp for her. What I realized is while working with them, I've found that what I'm training with is very similar to how a world class athlete trains. Although I'm not at her level, I am following a similar program. I don't run for Nike or have people asking for my autograph, but I do have the tools. I have access to a pro-level athlete that trains some of the top performers. I workout with a 2 time body building champion and national competitor when I want, where I want. It's $29/mo. and I'm getting paid to workout.
If you listen and follow Tony Robbins, he always teaches to train your body and change it. Successful people train their bodies. When you listen to Tony, he's for real. If you make the commitment to change your body, you will change your life. I guarantee it, because I've lived it.
Dori and I will be podcasting starting soon. Tune in, you will change your life. You have more power than you will ever realize if you will just tap into it an harness your true potential. We're going to help you get there.
I hear ya my friend. I can see the power in what you are talking about. I used the key chain for the first time yesterday. takes 5 minutes to get a completely customized workout. No driving to the gym, no video screen needed. Grab your mp3 and go. I posted something similar regarding our 3 brains. We have a physical brain, a logical brain and an emotional brain. Our logical brain may say…”I need to lose weight…or I should really get in shape.” Our emotional brain says “well…it's not going to work anyway, or why waste my time, or I Can't wait to fit into those jeans.” Our physical brain says, “ouch I'm sore, I don't want do that again…or MAN I feel great!” The key is awareness of the conversations going on in our head and introducing each of our brains to the other.
Gotta go…my physical brain says “Get off the computer and go work out!”
Great to hear from you, Rob! You are leading the charge to “Getting America Moving” my friend. Thanks for all that you do!
Kary
Hey Nick, Glad to hear that you like the trainer. I couldn't agree with you more… in regards to all the simple benefits it brings to getting me more active and feeling great again. Keep me posted on your progress and which trainers are your favorite to work out with…
Kary
Hi Kary,
Congratulations on your new venture. Looks really cool! I “almost” wanted to get off the couch and move to the music – LOL
Getting back into shape is the next great challenge for me, one that I will soon be ready to take on. Maybe the Next Fit device is just what I need.
You're so funny Kathy! And congrats to you… I hear that you're rockin things as well, lady!
I know that I sure have gotten soft over the years. Now I'm feeling stronger and more confident. My step already has a little more bounce. Pretty fun stuff. Keep in touch.
Kary
I'm becoming a teenager. And I'm so curious of my body, I'm fat. And my mom said that it's not good to look at a lady that is fat. So can you give me some ways how to be fit?
Cool post! This looks like it can help a lot of people stay fit that are really not motivated. I can see this that this would help a bunch of those new year resolutions people to stay motivated past January 2nd!
Hey Kary,
I think I am about the same age as you, and appreciate the advice you give to america of moving more. I am myself fighting a constant battle of looking very sharp one moment and totally out of shape the next. Thanks for the inspiration!
Mark´s last blog ..What the heck. I just got published in a HUGE twitter-book. (RETWEET this for me?)
The NextFit Keychain Trainer has become a part of my life thanks to Kary’s advice to use the 10 day trial to see what I thought. I went into the 10 day trial with a lot of skepticism and plans to return it, simply because I had not been able to find a fitness program that I felt happy with.
After the first 5 days, I knew that I had to keep it and that it was going to change how I felt about fitness. I used to think that working out was a chore, another must do after work before I could start enjoying my evening. I am now excited to get off work to start enjoying my evening with the NextFit Keychain Trainer. I can’t wait to put on workout clothing, get setup and put those headphones in. When the workout starts with my personal greeting, the enjoyment of my evening begins.
I really enjoy being able to adjust your workout based on how today’s workout went, I also really enjoy the fact that I put the headphones on and the music, the words, and the workout make me feel like I am actually working out with a partner or a trainer.
Even if you think you know what you like and don’t like, try this trainer for 10 days, you can’t lose. You either find that you do know what you like and that this is not for you at this time, OR you find that you really never used a tool like this, that it is unlike any other tool out there, and that this will motivate you to do things you never thought possible. 10 days. What can you do for yourself in 10 days?
Happy New Year Kary,
This is a really interesting and innovative approach to fitness. I have always been motivated to work out and have a home gym with treadmill, stepper, and bike that I’m on 5 days a week. That’s get’s pretty boring when the weather is bad 5 months out of the year and you only have those options. That fact that this is fun and motivates will help just about anyone stay committed to good health. Always good to be challenged:)
Cheers – David
What it ever takes to keep people moving. If you feel good, keep on going.
Personally, I un-exercise my way to health. I noticed how lions, bears, and even chipmunks stay fit.
They all pandiculate… and they do it before they check their emails. So now I re-program my motor cortex every day, lust like Fido… and whadya know. I can twist, jump, and turn like I used to… oh before the decades long life with fibromyalgia, ie chronic pain… that is now gone from using my brain to move me rather than the braun parts.
As I say, whatever it takes. Just keep moving and playing and having fun.
