3 Simple Secrets When You’re At The Largest Party In The World (aka Facebook)

You ready for some straight talk about Social Media and Facebook? I’ve shared this idea on many a webinar that I’ve presented on over the last couple of years, yet very few, I MEAN VERY FEW EVER DO THIS!

And I don’t know why? Are people scared? Do they not feel that they have value to bring to new relationships? Do they feel that they can only interact with others if they are going to “pitch” them some biz opp or something? I’m not sure, but today I’m going to share a short video and a few key things to consider.

If you take this to heart, I am confident that you will soar to new success in your online and network marketing ventures!

This is the Facebook status update that got me fired up to put this brief post together:

  • “I can’t believe how much fun I have and how much I learn as I talk to my global Facebook friends either on the phone or on Skype… You should really take “YOUR PARTY” to a more personal level. Staying just here, typing messages is like being at the most incredible cocktail party in the world where everyone is sitting back to back texting each other! How sad that would be! Look forward to chatting with you some time soon…”

These really aren’t secrets per say. They’re just simple, common sense that most people easily over look as participants of social media sites. And it doesn’t matter which one we’re talking about Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube. They’re all the same. People are typing messages back and forth 99% of the time and not getting on the phone or Skype to share true, meaningful conversations.

  1. When you’re chatting with someone, LISTEN! Don’t be the one doing all the talking! Show them that you really hear them by repeating back to them what you think they mean or are saying. Keep the spot light on them.
  2. Ask questions. You want to genuinely get to know them. Find out about what they like, don’t like, how they came to be doing what they’re doing for a living and what they like to do for fun. Much will be revealed in this conversation.
  3. Smile and stand up while you’re talking to them. They can ‘feel’ your energy through the phone. It’s true, isn’t it? lol People are more attracted to want to be friends with people that are positive, fun, and exciting. Would that describe you?

Check out my short video then tell me what you think.

How A Blog Can Help You To Be A Top MLM Enroller…

Oh, the network marketing opportunity on a blog… How do I share it? Where do I put it? Do I use company generated information or not?

There really are a lot of options when it comes to sharing or getting people to contact you for information about joining you in your network marketing business. I’m not completely convinced that there is one way better than another…

From my own experience I had very little success with hiding the identity of my company and having them contact me for more information. Maybe I was too new to the online scene or didn’t have enough traffic or a following yet? I’m not sure…

But what I do know is when I “Featured” my product and company on one of my blog pages, I started getting calls and emails almost immediately requesting more information. Many people signed up right away from this process too. In fact it worked so well that through my blog and the network of people I had established online I became the top enroller in my first online company during the second month I was with them, 8 months later I earned a FREE BMW with another company… and recently have gone from 0 to 450+ global partners (36 personal recruits) on my team in under 6 months!! Doing it 3 times now proves it was no accident.

Maybe it was my own posture and mindset, or enthusiasm for these unique products… I’ll never completely know why. But I do know that I didn’t have them flashing all over the front page of my blog. You wouldn’t ever really know what my main business opportunity is unless you went digging through my pages. I think that’s more attractive to most people nowadays. People don’t want to be sold on things, but they love to buy!

So I guess in my simple little way I did find a way that worked for me. I found a place that felt natural to house my business opportunity, and I linked out to enough information to allow people to dig a little deeper… if they so wanted to.

And make sure you make yourself available to chat with people! Don’t hide behind your web copy. Get out there and shake (virtual) hands, help people, ask questions, and listen to people… I’m constantly on Skype or the phone. Make it a habit for yourself, too!

What have you seen out on people’s blogs? Is the way they market their biz opp attractive to you or does it send you running? Find what feels natural for you and go with it.

Next time we will get into the powerful features of WordPress plugins. They can either be your friend or foe, and I’ll share why.

Today’s very short video. As you’ll see my “Featured” page has changed. No problem… That’s the beauty of the ever evolving blog. lol

Yours in support and mastery,

PS There is a fine line between being transparent and being pushy when sharing a business opportunity on your blog. The true goal should always be to build your marketing knowledge and leadership credibility first. People ultimately join people in business not companies and products.

How To Manifest Your Dreams In The New Year

It’s vitally important to not skip over personal growth and leadership development when wanting to become a successful entrepreneur and blogger. And clearly, it is the underlying foundation necessary to advance in this industry.

You must know in your core belief about yourself that you bring value to the world. Having that confidence (along with your personal faith in a higher power, for me it’s Jesus Christ) is the ‘rock’ you will cling to as you learn and grow and begin to lead and influence others.

Maintain your focus and self-discipline. By committing to your goals, vision, and direction you want to take, you will lead others by example and people will know you are also committed to their success for the long haul.

Embrace challenges. Expect challenges. Remember, leaders confront their fears and conquer them and when challenges are over-come, confidence grows. If you’re not ‘growing’… you’re dying.

As you reach larger levels of success in your life, it is impossible to take all the credit. The most wealthy and successful people are quick to give recognition to the tremendous team that they surround themselves with… Having a like-minded team that shares your same vision is paramount if you see yourself creating vast wealth and success online.

Tune Out The Naysayers… And Start Crushin’ It!

It happens every once in a while. I have friends who ask me to go hang out or go to the movies. I usually tell them I’m working on some online projects and don’t have time right now. And usually what follows is bunch of complaining about being online too much and that I should get a life…

I couldn’t help but laugh to myself! I’m completely doing what I love to do and having the time of my life. I hang with people that are like-minded and have goals to accomplish great things. And we all are about having a good time… but I’m also all about Crushin’ It!

I call them the “Naysayers”… And have stopped having anything to do with them. Not that I don’t like them. I just don’t have anything in common with them at this point. Here’s what Merrium Webster definition says.

Definition of NAYSAYER
: one who denies, refuses, opposes, or is skeptical or cynical about something
nay–say·ing\-ˌsā-iŋ\ noun

Examples of NAYSAYER
  1. There are always naysayers who say it can't be done.
  2. <those naysayers who attack the integrity of the entire judicial system>

I’ve been told to look at the top 5 people who I interact with on a regular basis and look at their average income. That will statistically influence and determine my own income. Hmmmmm  That quickly becomes a no-brainer!

Gary Vanyerchuk was right on when he coined that phrase… when you’re “Crushin’ It” you are passionate about what you’re doing and you’re working your tail off! I’m not looking for an easy ride or a hand out. It takes a massive amount of sweat equity to build a brand and business today… especially if you’re not rolling in the dough right out of the gate.

Social media is totally changing the way business is being done and will be done… we see it all over the news! Now is the time to work hard and smart to establish brand equity within your niche… so STOP listening to others when they tell you to ‘chill’.

If we look deep at the main reason these ‘friends’ are telling us this is because what you’re doing magnifies the lack of passion they have for what they are doing… but don’t let them drag you down with them!

Keep Crushin’ It!

“One Word… Synergy” (Word Wednesdays On Facebook)

Whether it’s one word or several there is a lot of POWER within words written or spoken.

Just last night I had several words ‘Pop’ into my head while I was staring at my Facebook status update box.

So, you wanna know what I decided to do? I just typed those words into the box. That’s it. That’s all I did. And right now I don’t remember what they were exactly. That doesn’t matter right at this moment though…

You may be thinking… “What’s the big deal, Kary? So what…”

Well, what I’m wanting to share with you today is a personal and simple way to express yourself with one or even just a few words.

For example, if I were write… love, friendship, caring, happiness, joy… I begin to feel them, visualize them, and attract them into my life. What became fun was that others began adding their words to the comment thread. and soon the group began taking on the momentum and energy that was flowing from everyone’s words.

I believe one person was saying that we were creating ‘synergy’ together in this exercise. I felt a rush of excitement and community while doing this together. In fact, I found my self waiting anxiously for what other people where going to submit to the thread.

It got me thinking about why I like the concept of Tribes Online so much. By working together and leveraging the ideas, uniqueness, and strengths of each other we combine and create something exponentially greater than the sum of each individually.

Synergy!

All I know is that by sharing a few positive, meaningful, and powerful words with the world, I began to receive much more as our group gained a momentum and yes, ‘Synergy’ together…

Thanks for taking a moment to share in my short post today. Go try it yourself AND make sure you tag me in that Facebook status update, so I can participate, too! We should start a new Facebook Trend and do this each Wednesday? Sounds fun to me!

And thanks for sharing this post on Twitter, but let’s also get ‘the word’ out and share this fun idea on Facebook, too.

All the very best to you,
Kary Rogney

Going Unplugged… What My Yard Taught Me? part 3

Mmmmm… I love the smell of fresh cut grass and my Daphne bush in bloom. Spring is definitely in the air today and my family and I just got back from the park and the garden center.

We’re heading out into the back yard now to spend some ‘outside’ time together. We have a great little space to hang out, garden, and whatever…

Over the last few weeks I’ve been recalibrating my time and attention with my family and taking at least one “unplugged” day in the week… a day not to do business or get online… a day of rest… a “family fun day!” I’ve decided to move it from Friday to Sunday and rearrange my webinars and tribe calls to other days, too.

Listen and watch as I share my plans and what I’ve learned while out in my back yard this afternoon.

Be blessed,
Kary

PS Can you think of any more analogies for life while looking at your garden or yard? I’d love to hear about what you’ve ‘dug up’ out of this idea… Together we can improve ourselves, our relationships, and our society. Thank you for your friendship, too!

A great song to be inspired by…
