Have you noticed the Twitter craziness on Fridays? It’s fun and exciting, but also can be a lot to sort through… it’s too much!
For those of you that don’t know what this is all about… on Fridays people recommend people to follow. It’s about as simple as that…. but….
There are so many #FollowFriday recommendations that it is on the verge of being overwhelming…
In this short video I share my thoughts on how to simplify this activity and make it more meaningful to my followers.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing a bit of your day with me.

Hi Kary,
Love the fact that you are ALWAYS providing excellent content in which everyone branding themselves on the Internet needs to develop proficiency.
Keep it coming. . .I’m learning a lot from you.
Thanks!
Yours in excellence and mastery,
Joe Emmet
Kary,
Great video! We all need to stand out and not get sucked in and buried with all the follow friday tweets! I agree with you 100%!!

Absolutely,
There is so much banter that is all crap. We need to sift through it and stand out, apart from the stuff.
Thanks for the content on tweetdeck.

It is a very nice blog Kary. Lots of good content. I am glad to see at least some of the people that paid for this type of blog, received their's.
This was soooo COOOL Kary!! I have to admit, i've even asked a few people what's up w/ “Follow Friday” and your explanation is the first time i REALLY get it!! and i feel like i know how i can participate in the whole process in a meaningful way— thank you so much!!!

Very great to hear from you, Lance. Glad to help on this one… I almost dread #FF's, but now know how to promote and be specific about people I mention on that lovely little day.
Hey Kary,
Thanks for the great suggestions! When I started working on Twitter I saw everyone else making the same mistakes and followed their lead. Once again you've shown us how to stand out in the crowd and provide our followers with value. Can't wait for next Friday, to “strutt my stuff”!!!
Your Friend,
Kathy
I completely understand! I love being more specific with why I'm promoting to follow certain people. Makes more sense. I know the people that haven't read this on Fridays, that's for sure. Should I send them a link to learn…? hee hee
Isn't it funny that things that should be common sense just get overlooked in the fast and furious online 'scene'?
It's time that we educate people and live by example on so many levels in the way we live our lives online or off…
Hey Kary
I totally agree with you on this one. I have done it in the past where I felt like it was a neciesity but that is just crap. I like to just #FollowFriday with the people that I really like. They put out great content and great value to me. I also like your idea about adding a comment. I have done this a bit in the past but I am going to make it even more distinct.
Thanks for the post
Steve
great info, kary … you always bring good content … i always wondered why people would just blindly #FF someone … MAKE A COMMENT! =)
Hi Kary,
Thanks for the #FF recommendations … they certainly will help cut through the clutter.
Have a great rest of the evening,
Susan
