I’d like to start you with a quote…
The Law of Receptivity: The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving. (The Go-Giver Book)
“Ya, so?” You may be saying to yourself.
Well, let’s really think about this for a moment. If you have the opportunity to lift someone up, help them out, give them kuddos… you are going to be very appealing in their eyes, aren’t you?
On Twitter there is a POWERFUL feature that many overlook using. I think they don’t think about using the RT (ReTweet) feature, because they are fearful of promoting someone else!
Have you noticed how much people self-promote? The spam? The link dropping? It’s crazy and rampant.
Do you want to stand out and look different in the crowd? Of course! Then do what most people won’t do… Give, help, support others… and it will come back to you 10 fold.
If you do it with the truest of intentions to GIVE WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS OF RECEIVING BACK… YOU WILL BE BLESSED.

Wishing you all the best,
Kary

You are raising the bar for all of us with your posts and tutorials
Keep up the awesome work.

Hey Kary,
Great tutorial! I’m a big fan of the RT. Looking forward to more from you!

Hi Kary.
It is funny, my name is Carina or you can say Cary. I didn’t understand the power of social media until the last little while. I must tell you, it is really important to learn the right way to interact and meet people in the social media sites, and your tips are excellent help to do just that.
Thanks for sharing.
Carina (well Cari that’s the way my closest friends and family call me)
Hey Kary
That is a great post for people to see some of the tricks and stratigies for using Twitter to build relationships and generate traffic.
Good Stuff.
Steve
Thanks Steven! There are so many things that we can do to put others first… which in the end really helps us too.
Yes Kary, I started twitter just a little while ago, and I notice that everybody is trying to promote themselves instead of interact, know new people, and connect. Everybody has the mindset of “what is there for me” instead of “what can I give you, how can I help you”
It is not important how many followers you have, but how many followers you connect with.
Thanks again for your posts,
Carina
Hey Kary,
Great info!
I especially like your quote about being open to receiving. Recently I was involved in a prosperity workshop and one of our exercises was to go to a public place, approach total strangers, and give them money. As we did so we were to say something to the effect of “there’s more for you where this came from”.
The results were amazing! About a third of the intended recipients would not accept this gift from the Universe. It really taught me a lesson about being able to humbly accept gifts offered by others. I guess that sometimes it truly is easier to give than it is to receive…..

Oooh even though I’d used Tweetdeck for a while before switching too hootsuite, I didnt know about the tweetshink button!
That’s a really useful feature because hand-shrinking posts can be both time consumbing and rather mind numbing!
Thanks for the great advice on RTing others, that sounds like a great way to esablish oursives as someone that gives back!
